(Video) Obama talks about his political low-point in 2000
Last night on the NBC's Tonight Show with Jay Leno, possible presidential candidate Barack Obama discussed how in 2000 he reached a political low-point, and had trouble even getting a pass to the Democratic National Convention in Los Angeles. It's amazing how things changed in four years:

OBAMA: "Everybody talks about the 2004 Convention. Well, the 2000 Convention was here in LA. And I had just lost a Congressional race -- I just had my head handed to me. And I had taken time off my law practice to run, so we were kind of broke. My wife was mad at me. So my friends say, 'Look, why don't you go to the Convention, it will cheer you up. You got to get back into it, make some contacts. I fly out here at LAX, go to the car rental place. A woman comes back and goes, 'Mr. Obama, your card has been rejected.'"
That's only the half of it. It goes to show how a person's political luck can change drastically over a given time span. Now within months we will get a good idea whether Obama will try to become the 44th president of the United States. Only in America is this story possible.
